Episode IV, Chapter 5: Death Star Escape

In this level you’ll need a Jedi, Grappler, Astromech, Protocol Droid, Short Character, Sith, and Bounty Hunter.

First Time

Build the platform and pull the handle to open the door. Shoot through the enemies and put on the Stormtrooper helmet before entering the next area.

The handle in the back changes the location of the grappling point: the light blue and dark blue sections will throw you right into the middle of the group of Stormtroopers, while the medium blue will bring you to the nearby balcony with all of the studs. You can drop down and get rid of the Stormtroopers, or shoot them safely from above. Either way, once they’ve been destroyed, go to the left side of the room and move the object with the blue platform to the right to attach it to the other platform. This is the spot where the grappling point will land if you move it all the way to the dark blue area. Climb up, pull the handle for a box, and push the box off the edge to give you access to the area under the grate. Ride the vehicle up the ramp and to the red flashing squares on the ground. You’ll have to quickly ride over all five of them to make the platforms appear above, then use the grappling point to reach the Imperial panel and use the helmet to open the door.

After taking out some more enemies, ride the crane and move the Stormtroopers around until they clean all of the spots from the windows. Once you’re done (you’ll know because they’ll stop cleaning) get off of the crane and the window will break, giving you a Canister. Head down the hall to the right and assemble the pieces for a handle and pull. Destroy the Stormtroopers, then pull the next two handles. Push the box into the hole, then pull the next handle. Destroy the enemies here and move on.

Pull the three handles before the end of the path to start a rotating platform. Jump across, take out a few more Stormtroopers, and even more will appear. Try to ignore them unless necessary and grapple up, pull the handle, drop back down, and assemble the pieces. Grapple back up and try to hop on the elevator when it comes down. Jump to the left as it starts to go up to get a Stormtrooper helmet, then hop back on and wait till you’ve reached the very top before jumping to the right. Open the door with the panel and head to the next area.

Destroy a few more enemies and go through the door.

Pull the handles quickly as you enter to shut the door and prevent more enemies from entering. You can shoot at the Stormtroopers on the other side from here, or just ignore them and build the grappling point on the ground. Swing across, then head through the door for another Stormtrooper helmet if needed. Build the next grappling point and swing across, taking out the enemies if you haven’t already done so, and use the Imperial panel to open the door.

Walk toward the screen and jump out the window to the ledge on the left for a Canister. Go back inside and shoot the orange part of the wall to get the first of three. Shoot the button on the wall to open the door, then destroy the other two orange parts of the wall for a Canister. Shoot the next button, head through the door, and shoot the last button, but prepare yourself for a ton of Stormtroopers on the other side. Don’t try to kill them all right now, because they’ll just keep coming, even if you pull the handles on both sides of the wall– that only stops them temporarily. You’ll need to assemble the pieces on the left side and then destroy it to open the door to the final area.

This area has more endless Stormtroopers. Start by heading to the right side and pushing the handle on the wall to free C-3PO and R2-D2 and collect the Canister inside. Then, head to the back of the right side, hop behind the blue object, and push to the right for pieces to make a grappling point. Grapple up, take out the Stormtroopers up here, then pull the handle to raise the Millennium Falcon. Go a little to the left and use R2-D2 on the panel to raise it a little more, then go to the far left wall and use him again to get another vehicle like in the second area. Ride over the red lights on the floor with it, then head to the back of the left wall and pull the handle. Use C-3PO to float up and unlock the panel, which will raise the Falcon completely. Destroy all of the Stormtroopers that are left and the door to the Falcon will open; go inside to end the level.

Right at the beginning, after pulling the handle and walking out into the hallway, use the Protocol Droid panel. Assemble the pieces into a refrigerator and use the Force to open it for the Power Brick – Invincibility. Then, out in the hallway, use a Bounty Hunter to throw a thermal detonator at the silver spot on the wall not far from the panel for a Canister.

After pushing the box off the edge in the second area, use a short character to climb through the vent under the grate for a Canister.

After opening all of the doors with the handles in the third area, have a Sith character use the Force on the wall for a Canister.

At the end of the fourth area, use the Force on the object by the panel to make a platform to reach the Canister.

In the room in the sixth area with all of the Stormtroopers, use the Force to stack up some boxes in the back of the room and jump up. Destroy any Stormtroopers up here until you reach the Canister.

In the final area, pull the handle by the door and float up. Use a Bounty Hunter on the panel and go inside for the Canister.

In Challenge mode, the level plays as usual, but you must collect ten blue Canisters before your time limit of ten minutes runs out. The level will end as soon as you collect the final Canister. These are not found in the same areas as the white Canisters of regular gameplay, but are as follows:

  1. As you begin the level, walk toward the screen. (It’s hidden in the water so you can’t see it, but you should hear the noise it makes once you’ve gotten it.)
  2. Use a Protocol Droid on the panel once you’ve opened the first door, and it’ll be on your right inside of the room.
  3. Pull the handle in the second area until it’s in the medium blue area, then grapple up to the Canister.
  4. As you enter the third area, it’s right next to the bad guys standing in the corner.
  5. As you enter the fourth area, you should automatically see the Canister by the railing.
  6. You should walk right into this one when you enter the fifth area and come around the corner.
  7. After building the first grappling point and swinging across in the sixth area, go through the door with the helmet dispenser to find it.
  8. In the seventh area, in the room with all of the Stormtroopers, go through the left side door that they’re coming from.
  9. Similar to the previous Canister, go through the right side door instead of the left.
  10. In the last area, go to the back of the right side and you should see the Canister by the blue object.
