Episode II, Chapter 1: Bounty Hunter Pursuit

In this level you’ll need a TIE Fighter.

First Time

Starting off Episode II with a vehicle level– not the best way to start it off, but aside from the Minikit Canisters being a little challenging, it’s not too bad. My advice, like in the other vehicle level: don’t stop shooting. Shoot everything and anything.

Ride forward a little and you’ll see a big turquoise column that seems like it’s glowing. You’ll have to shoot ten of those to get a Canister, and you’ll find six of them in this first area. There’s your first one; they’re not generally hard to see, given their size, so you shouldn’t have trouble finding them. If you ride forward a little more, you’ll see what looks like a ball return with neon pink balls. Those will help you destroy things that you can’t destroy with regular shots. Collect a few, then head to the right and just keep following the path around. Gradually, you’ll come across five guns that’ll keep shooting at you until they’re destroyed, earning you a Canister once you’ve destroyed them all. After the fourth or so turquoise column, you should see a skyscraper with big points sticking out of it on your right. Use the pink bullets to destroy them and get a Canister. Then you’ll come to what looks like a big brown hole, the entrance to the next area. Shoot the stoplight in front of it, then shoot the vehicle that appears with the sign for a Canister. Now, go through the hole.

Immediately, you’ll be shot at by numerous guns around the force field trap. Start by destroying those guns, three to the front left and three to the front right. You can shoot all of the red spots on the ground for a Canister. Fly over the two glowing spots on the ground to get a pink bullet dispenser and destroy the yellow generators to disable the force field.

If you head to the right, you’ll find a building with some light beacons. Activate them all before one shuts off and a red balloon will appear below. Shoot it with a pink bullet to get the Power Brick – Stud Magnet. There are five more guns to be destroyed for a Canister, two of which are in the tunnel at the end of the area. Also, not long after starting the area, you should see three black triangular signs on your right. Shoot them to make them turn green, and shooting them all will earn you a Canister.

The next area is the same as the previous force field area, but with more gunners and lights to fly over before deactivation. The last Canister is also here, gained by shooting the red spots on the ground like you did before.

Finally, you’ll battle Zam Wesell’s craft before the end of the level. Just keep shooting, and avoid the shots from the enemy, and you’ll easily win.

Free Play

After the first pink bullet dispenser, go left and use the TIE Fighter to get into the gate for a Canister.

As soon as you’re out of the first force field, make a right and go through the TIE gate for a Canister.

In Challenge mode, the level plays as usual, but you must collect ten blue Canisters before your time limit of ten minutes runs out. The level will end as soon as you collect the final Canister. These are not found in the same areas as the white Canisters of regular gameplay, but are as follows:

  1. The first Canister is a little bit in front of you as you start.
  2. Use a TIE Fighter on the gate.
  3. To the right of the skyscraper with the blue spikes, the Canister will be sitting on the little ledge.
  4. The next Canister is sitting right in front of the stoplight near the end of the area.
  5. In the next area with the force field, it’s in the back right corner.
  6. As soon as you leave the force field area, it’s right in front of you between two arrow signs.
  7. Go into the second TIE gate, to the right after exiting the force field area.
  8. You’ll find this one to the left of the tunnel to the next area, between two more arrow signs.
  9. Once you’re almost to the end of the tunnel, a laser will shoot at you. A Canister is right in front of this laser.
  10. It’s in the back left corner of the second force field area, behind the gunners.
