Episode I, Chapter 1: Negotiations
In this level, you’ll need a Jedi, Protocol Droid, Astromech Droid, High Jumper, and Short Character.
You’ll start off playing as Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi. You can mess around with the objects in the room for lots of coins, or just skip to using the Force on the doorway to make some droids attack. More droids are stationed at intervals down the hallway. Head past the protocol droid panel and activate all of the blue handles for the first Canister. Do the same with the purple handles down the next hallway for another Canister. Once you have access to TC-14, head back to the protocol droid panel from earlier and unlock it. Go inside and have the characters each step on a red button. The Canister here is behind the droids that will attack after you step on the buttons. Return to the hallway and use TC-14 to unlock the panel at the end of the hallway. Use the Force on the left switch to get some pieces to build a panel, then activate this one as well. Force the grate off the wall, then be prepared to fight some droids. Head into the hole to the second area.
You’ll be able to see a Canister to the left immediately after entering the area. If you jump to the left and back, you should be able to reach it. Droids are stationed all over, so be careful when exploring or hunting for coins. After dropping down to the lower area and destroying the droids there, two Droidekas will appear. In my opinion, the most useful strategy for battling these is to use your lightsaber to deflect their shots. If you deflect at the right time, the shots will hit them back and eventually lower their shield. Deflect another shot to destroy them. You can Force the large block on the left and then stack the smaller blocks on top to reach a platform, then jump to the Canister. Reaching the Canister is easiest if you’re playing with two players; have one climb up to the platform while the other activates the lever to move the platform closer to the Canister. Now you can Force the blocks on the wall and climb over the force field, then step on the buttons to let TC-14 through as well, which will trigger another droid attack. Use TC-14 on the panel to open the door and exit the level.
Activate the protocol droid panel at the end of the first hallway. Use a Short Character to crawl through the vent in the far left corner and walk to the end for a Canister. Before exiting, step on the button to remove the force fields. Use the Force to stack up the blocks on the ground, then use a High Jumper to reach the Canister on the right. Leave this area and go forward to the Astromech panel. After destroying the droids in the back of the room, use a High Jumper to step on the cart and the other character will Force you, then jump to reach the Canister. Force the ship on the ground to make it fly through the force field. Then, force the grate on the wall and high-jump through the hole to access another area. Use an Astromech or a Bounty Hunter to glide across the gap, then use an Astromech to activate the panel and deactivate the force field. High-jump on the vehicle to reach another Canister. After forcing the grate off the wall that leads to the next area, step on the grate and high-jump to another Canister.
Move the object on the ground to the left, then jump onto the platform and use the Astromech panel to access another area. You’ll find a button and a gray spot on the ground. Step on the gray spot while the other character steps on the button, and your space will be elevated. Use this to double jump through each of the cases and lower their fronts. Step on one of the revealed buttons while the other character steps on the other button to reveal the Power Brick – Super Gonk.
In Challenge mode, the level plays as usual, but you must collect ten blue Canisters before your time limit of ten minutes runs out. The level will end as soon as you collect the final Canister. These are not found in the same areas as the white Canisters of regular gameplay, but are as follows:
- 1. In the back left corner of the first room.
- After exiting the first room, go left into an open area and force the gears on the left. Jump onto the platform and jump up to reach the Canister.
- Open the second protocol droid panel (at the end of the hallway). The Canister is directly to the left, behind the glowing blue objects.
- Go a little further down the hallway and open the Astromech panel. Go to the right, where the Canister is in the second shower.
- Destroy the grate in this room, high-jump through the opening, and hover over to the other side.
- Right before you enter the second area, jump up from the grate.
- Use the Astromech panel on the left platform in the second area and step on the gray space as your partner steps on the button. Double jump into the right case.
- Go to the lower left corner.
- Go to the lower right corner and jump into the opening in the wall.
- Go behind the droid transport.
